MVTec to Exhibit Solutions at embedded world

MVTec Software GmbH demonstrates the robustness, speed, and reliability of its machine vision software in embedded systems at embedded world 2020 in Nuremberg.

From February 25 to 27, 2019, MVTec Software GmbH demonstrates the robustness, speed, and reliability of its machine vision software in embedded systems at embedded world 2020 in Nuremberg. At booth 203 in hall 4, visitors can experience the performance of the machine vision software products HALCON and MERLIC in embedded applications. In addition, MVTec experts will give exciting insights into the theory and practice of embedded vision at the embedded world Conference and in the Exhibitors' Forum.

Embedded vision and deep learning: Demos and expert lectures

MVTec demonstrates the features of MERLIC 4 in a live demonstration by detecting and inspecting different objects using medical sample tubes as example. All processing is done on an embedded board, eliminating the need for an industrial PC.

HALCON 19.11 includes a groundbreaking new deep learning feature: anomaly detection. Visitors can experience this technology first hand during a live demonstration: Here, an NVIDIA AGX Xavier board analyzes different objects in real time, using HALCON.

HALCON's compatibility to many hardware standards is a major advantage of the software. This will be demonstrated in a second live demonstration involving four embedded boards and a linear sled. The four boards are each set to solve a vision task. Their respective cameras are aligned to different spots on an analysis object that gets moved horizontally at high speeds. This shows the speed and robustness of HALCON's performance on embedded hardware.

To round off the program, Christoph Wagner, Product Manager Embedded Vision, will give a lecture on "Why choosing the right machine vision software is not a no-brainer" at the embedded world Conference. Furthermore, MVTec will hold a presentation at the exhibitor forum on "MVTec HALCON Deep Learning for Embedded Devices".
