u-blox announced that Taoglas, an IoT solutions creator, has developed Taoglas Edge Locate positioning module, a centimeter-level GNSS positioning solution.

u-blox, a provider of positioning and wireless communication technologies, announced that Taoglas, an IoT solutions creator, has developed the Taoglas Edge Locate positioning module based on u-blox' centimeter-level GNSS positioning solution.

The Taoglas Edge Locate positioning module is comprised of a high precision L1/L2/E5 GNSS receiver, the u-blox ZED-F9P,  RF electronics, and antennas in a single package. The u-blox ZED-F9P high-precision GNSS module with concurrent reception of GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, and BeiDou on multiple frequency bands enables the Taoglas Edge Locate module to use real-time kinematic (RTK) algorithms for faster convergence times and reliable performance.

The integrated smart antenna is specifically designed and optimized for multi-band GNSS applications.

Edge Locate’s RTK positioning capabilities let end-users benefit from centimeter-level positioning without subscribing to GNSS correction services, instead relying on a local RTK network that Taoglas can also help customers design and set up. Overall, the solution simplifies the development and deployment of IoT solutions that depend on high-precision positioning information.
