Sensors Expo to Launch Embedded Technologies Expo & Conference in Silicon Valley

The Premier Event for the Sensors Industry to Produce Inaugural Three-Day Event Dedicated to Embedded Technologies and Systems June 25-27

NEWTON, Mass. (September 20, 2018) –Sensors Expo & Conference, the largest North American event in the electronics market to focus exclusively on sensors and connectivity, announced today the launch of a co-located event, Embedded Technologies Expo & Conference. The inaugural event will be held June 25-27, 2019 at the McEnery Convention Center in San Jose, CA, and is expected to draw 1,500-2,000 attendees consisting of systems level design engineers and engineering executives.

Building on the Sensors Group’s foundation of delivering a strong educational and exhibits program, the co-located Embedded Technologies Expo & Conference will uniquely address the needs of systems level design engineers and will deliver over 100 hours of unparalleled education and training with access to hundreds of exhibits.

“Sensors and embedded systems have always been inter-connected and work together to provide the most important aspects of the IoT,” remarks Cal Groton, Group Director, Questex LLC, producers of Sensors Expo & Conference and Embedded Technologies Expo & Conference. “We’re excited to launch this complementary, co-located event and bring deep education and training to attendees that is essential to the growth of the marketplace.”

The Embedded Technologies Conference program is produced in partnership with Embedded Computing Design (ECD), a property of OpenSystems Media. ECD has engaged with the embedded industry’s most influential leaders in developing an Advisory Board to help position and shape the content for the conference.

“Embedded Computing Design and OpenSystems Media have served the needs of the evolving embedded and IoT industries for over 35 years,” states Rich Nass, Executive Vice President, Embedded and IoT at OpenSystems Media. “We will lean on that history while also engaging the help of our Advisory Board who live with the embedded developer on a daily basis. The result will be a world-class education program featuring the industry’s top thought leaders as well as many of those that prosper in the trenches.”

The three-day, vendor-neutral education program will feature Pre-Conference Symposia on June 25 and Education Sessions on June 26-27, focusing on key tracks and topics including AI/Machine Learning, Edge Computing, Embedded Vision, Industrial IoT, Predictive Maintenance, Security, and more. In addition to the robust lineup of speakers, attendees will be able to experience vendor centric and sponsor supported in-depth training programs, as well as 65+ exhibitors on the co-located Expo Floor.

“We have been a supporter of Sensors Expo & Conference for years,” states Rob Oshana, Vice President of Software Engineering R&D for NXP Microcontrollers. “The launch of Embedded Technologies Expo & Conference along with Sensors is synergistic and fulfills a critical need within the industry for education and training. We look forward to being a part of the inaugural event in 2019.”
