MVTec Software will release HALCON 19.11 on November 15, which will include many new and improved functions for machine vision, such as an anomaly detection function to allow deep-learning-based inspection tasks to be implemented more efficiently. In addition, a generic box finder is able to determine the exact position and size of arbitrary boxes within 3D point clouds. Another development in HALCON 19.11 is the ability to import deep learning models in the ONNX (Open Neural Network Exchange) format, and a new model for line scan cameras with telecentric lenses.
