iDTRONIC Announces Enhancements to HF MIFARE RFID Reader R840 with WiFi, Ethernet Interface

iDTRONIC, a provider of embeddable RFID modules, announced the enhancement of its HF MIFARE RFID Read R840 with WiFi and ethernet interface.

iDTRONIC, a provider of embeddable RFID modules, announced the enhancement of its HF MIFARE RFID Read R840 with WiFi and ethernet interface. The wireless Wifi allows for connection to end devices without cables in IoT environments. Furthermore, the wired ethernet can be used for direct data transfer to end devices within industry 4.0 applications.

The Ethernet and WiFi interface options are only available as read only version. The R840 MIFARE Module reads transponders and tags with the RFID HF Frequency 13.56 MHz and supports ISO 14443A standards. Only clear UIDs on tags or transponders can be recognized and read.

In addition to the WiFi and ethernet options, R840 comes with Plug-and-Play, a function that assists with identification, transponders, or tags without having to run installation of the device.

The RFID OEM module’s integrated antenna can accurately identify chipcards from up to 8 cm. The integrated relay can be controlled remotely. A lamp function is also provided to inform the user where or not tag communication was successful.
