Antenova ultra-small GNSS antenna modules integrate active LNA, SAW filter

On-board LNA and SAW filters serve to boost signal to the GNSS processor when line-of-sight to the horizon or sky is restricted.
Antenova is now shipping the RADIONOVA M20047-1 antenna module, an ultra-small GNSS active antenna module outfitted with active low-noise amplifier (LNA) and surface acoustic wave (SAW) filter. The antenna module is designed for applications leveraging the 1559 – 1609 MHz satellite bands on GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, or BeiDou technology.
On-board LNA and SAW filters serve to boost signal to the GNSS processor when line-of-sight to the horizon or sky is restricted. The modules also contain an external matching feature to compensate for de-tuning caused by proximity with other components.
The M20047-1 is a compact 7 mm x 7 mm x 0.9 mm and weighs less than two grams, making the antenna module well suited for wearable devices and other small form factor systems. The module is encases in FR4 laminate.
