ACEINNA Releases OpenIMU ROS Driver for Robotic Applications

ACEINNA released the ACEINNA OpenIMU ROS Driver for developers of robotic applications.

“This new ROS driver makes it simple to integrate a wide variety of ACEINNA IMUs into almost any robotics applications, which uses ROS,” said product marketing manager of inertial systems at ACEINNA James Fennelly, in a press release. “When combined with our IMU developers of robotic solutions finally have an easily integrated, rock-solid solution for their navigation and localization challenges.”

As mentioned, the driver allows developers to quickly and easily integrate accurate IMU’s at <1.5°/hr into their navigation guidance systems.

The driver works with the company’s OpenIMU family, including the OpenIMU300ZI, OpenIMU300RI, and OpenIMU330BI. The sensors have their own hardware features that allow users multiple options for application development.

Per the release, ACEINNA’s OpenIMU’s have several software applications available, with source code available via Github and the ACEINNA Extension on Microsoft Visual Studio Code. Software applications include IMU, VG-AHRS, and INS.
