Elatec to exhibit new family of multi-frequency readers at embedded world 2018

The compact TWN4 family offers RFID reader modules that support a variety of RFID standards and technologies.
Elatec RFID Systems, specialist in the development of RFID reading and writing modules, exhibits at embedded world (27.02.-01.03.2018). At booth 3-239 in hall 3 of the Nuremberg Exhibition Center, the company presents the TWN4 MultiTech Nano, a new family of multi-frequency readers. Visitors will also gain insight into Elatec's extensive developer support through development boards and kits for rapid development of custom RFID solutions.
The TWN4 family supports a variety of RFID standards and technologies.
The TWN4 MultiTech Nano family is 31 × 17.8 × 2.7 mm, with the PCB equipped on only one side. For users who only need one of the RFID frequency ranges 13.56 or 125 / 124.2 kHz, Elatec offers the variants TWN4 MultiTech Nano HF and TWN4 MultiTech Nano LF. In addition, the TWN4 MultiTech Nano and TWN4 MultiTech HF NFC readers support integration into mobile devices. Customer-specific variants enable integration into products that are to be approved for payment transactions in accordance with EMVCo.
Elatec supports integration with its own systems with tools, development boards, and optional I/O extenders. With the help of a free development kit, customer-specific applications for the automation of reader behavior can be developed. Elatec also offers a solution for configuring already installed HF-capable reader modules: the reader reads its configuration using a special RFID card. For safety, it can then be locked for further programming.
TWN4 Palon will be presented for the first time at embedded world. TWN4 Palon is a compact reader for hidden installation in devices and behind front panels. It supports all TWN4 functionalities, including BLE. TWN4 Palon is supplemented by an RS485 interface, and optionally the OSDP protocol is available. A flexible and robust assembly concept allows a wide range of installation options.
