I have had many years of in-depth software development and project management experience with computer hardware and software companies, large and small. I actively participate in professional organizations and various standards bodies such as the IEEE, ACM, PMI. I have been chairman of the IEEE Seattle Section and have chaired the IEEE Computer Society - Seattle chapter. I am currently a section officer with the IEEE Maine Section.
Over the past several years, the Internet of Things (IoT) has been touted as the Next Big Thing as well as the Internet of Crappy Things. Both descriptions are justifiable.
