I came across a blog the other day that was promoting a technical conference (in full disclosure, I’m involved in the conference). Normally I wouldn’t pass this information along in this manner, but the subject matter is so critical I thought it would be a disservice to do nothing. The conference I’m referring to is MEDSec, and it cover the security of medical devices. Specifically, it focuses on security and privacy for the Internet of Medical Things.

The original blog that caught my eye was penned by David Kleidermacher, the Chief Security Officer at BlackBerry, who clearly knows a thing or two about security. I’ll leave it at that and let you decide if this issue is as critical as I believe it is.
