Redpine Signals – Low-Power Multi-Protocol Wireless Solutions for Secure Smart Homes
While they may seem simple to users, IoT devices like smart door locks are packed with complexity. Wireless interference, security, and power consumption are just a few of the challenges that IoT design engineers must overcome in a smart door lock design. But while these are critical elements of the system, they also don’t add value in the eyes of consumers who expect smart door locks to “just work.”
Redpine Signals RS14100 and RS9116 Multi-Protocol Wireless MCUs and SoCs integrate wireless coexistence capabilities, built-in commercial grade security, and an absurd Wi-Fi associated standby current of less than 90 microamps. IoT device OEMs can integrate these devices in smart door lock and other smart home device designs so that engineering resources can focus on adding differentiating features and getting to market quickly.
